He is back in the casino business after an agreement to a deal cut with bondholders.

The agreement will allow Trump to receive a 10% stake in the newly recapitalize company, which owns three casinos in the Atlantic City that carries Trump name. In exchange, Trump and his daughter Ivana, both former board members, agreed to drop the lawsuit they filed against the company not so long ago.

Trump will be free to use his name on other gambling ventures, just not in five neighboring states. His casino venture has a long history, where conflicts began to arise after he left the board of Trump Entertainment Resorts in February. The company has been struggling under $1.7 billion debt.

In a statement after closing the deal, Trump said, “I have always felt a tremendous responsibility to New Jersey, and especially to Atlantic City.”

Overall, it always keeps people amaze how businessmen like Trump get massively rich when these ventures succeed and yet walk away from the rubble relatively unscathed when they don’t. Perhaps, he just knows how to hide behind certain things to himself.

Other businesses that are part of Trump’s empire are the Trump Waikiki Hotel, which opened last week in Hawaii; and the Trump International Hotel and Towers in Chicago, which has been recognized by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat as the sixth largest building in the world.

If Trump wants to do business with you, would you give him a chance? It seems his reputation has been below negative lately. But sure this guy has a character!
