Although, it may not always be equal to good business, the point is the companies which create new sources of value in the world are most often achieved through a well structured design process that is more holistic and inclusive that the notion of good design.

In our world today, when one speaks of design, it would seem to be always a noun or even an adjective. They would always follow it with a question about what color? Etc. But more than ever, good design has come to stand for something similar with style. It comes in a largely relativistic judgment of aesthetics and semiotics informed by a constantly shifting zeitgeist.

Although at times, many people would tend to go for things that are aesthetically pleasing, sometimes it reach through a point that design is actually a class of shallow of luxury goods aimed at a specific set of buyers. And this doesn’t represent any lasting value at all.

And to provide remedy, it would always be better to treat design as a verb, a process, and a way of approaching challenges to learn to use, to create positive change in the business arena. At first, it might be hard due to the notion instilled to us on what design is. But with dedication, you would eventually realize the enormous value of design to humanity.

The relationship of design and market success is always parallel to each other. Success in the marketplace is always a result of understanding complex endeavor that allowed one to create a good process design. More than good design actually.

Take the case of Apple, Google, Microsoft, these are all companies who prides themselves with good design. And the result? A very successful presence in the industry.

If you’ve got brand, it is important that one creates a good image out of it as well as good public relations.

Today, increased access to personal data has enabled brands to communicate more effectively with their audiences. It even motivates them to change lifestyles. Personal data nowadays are easily accessed. For one, the social networking sites have contributed a vast majority of this, while the world wide web (technology) has also made its share of contributions. From just a mere person you knew, today, with the help of social networking and technology, it enables each one of us to know common friends as well.

Gone are the days when brands only broadcast one-way messages to an audience with no expectation at all. The most trusted brands today engaged in conversations with people that even reach at a personal level.

And so marketers are using your data in order to achieve the following:

Create simple tracking tools that help customers gain insights about themselves and even change behaviors.

To create better relationship between customer and brand changes, that would lead to building trust.

Allow customers to invest in monitoring their constant progress by using a specified brand.

In their raw form, often, this data often look like Excel spreadsheets intended for statisticians. But more than that, it is integrated within a simple, intuitive interface; the numbers can come to life through gorgeous visualization and robust functionality. However, recently, one of the main limitations of traditional data visualization was it focus on aesthetics over usefulness.

As data continue to become the motivational force for social good, we need to put in mind that the most important thing perhaps, is how we can translate them into business strategy.

Put into practice a newsletter email campaign; it’s reasonably priced, keeps your name in front of your prospects on a monthly basis, and attracts news prospects.

Let’s say you are a nutritionist and you want to boost the number of clients in your practice. You have all these business cards that you have accumulated from the many networking events that you have attended. By strategically emailing your prospects, you will be way ahead of your competition. Now coming up with a monthly online newsletter is an overwhelming job for some entrepreneurs; their main concern is where they will have the time to place a newsletter together. How are they going to write all that content every month? What are they going to write about?

Relax, you don’t have to write the newsletter, an email newsletter service will gladly put together a newsletter for you at a short fee and they will provide you a selection of articles so that you can modify your newsletter to your satisfaction. Your role in this effort is to plan a mix of interesting articles so that your prospects will look forward to your newsletters and that these newsletters will draw them to your business.

Primarily, this is due to its set-up where many believed it is destined to fail. Why? Because it uses other people’s money to kite so debts becomes bigger and bigger each time an individual recruit’s a down line before him. The individual earns a good amount of money, each time he recruits one down line and so forth, where in many instances, the pay for recruiting is bigger than the joining fee.

But whatever it is, networking is so much a legitimate business. And the truth of the matter is that – it is not destined to fail. For starters, this could be the perfect training ground like what finance guru Robert Kyosaki did during his younger days. It can tremendously improve one individual’s communication skills most especially when you are visiting, knocking each villagers’ home just to sell.

Moreover, for a business, this might just be the fastest way to expand your networks. But make sure that you are joining a legitimate networking company, as there are so many scams in the industry today – they ask you for a certain joining fee and that’s it. You will never hear them again. One of the most common characteristic of a legitimate networking company is they must have a product that is unique in origin. Unique, meaning it is not easily accessible to everyone but instead are most likely to be readily available only through the networking company.

There are so many networking companies today that doesn’t have a product at all, where individuals earn only by recruiting as much down line as possible before them. Truly, this one is an indication that it is destined to fail.

With so much people before you say a group of ten people recruiting two each, then each of the two recruiting another two each and so forth. Networking is perhaps one of the best ways to expand business.

Read the article and let me know if I have missed out on anything.

In order to become a successful web entrepreneur, one has to be committed. Success does not come inside a short span. Each business takes time to produce a same is the case with online business. No ninety days wonders are permitted.

This is an extremely tricky point to understand and follow. One may argue that one must share the knowledge If one has to be successful online. However a successful entrepreneur knows how to guard his business secrets. He is helpful however at the same time he knows where to draw the line. One must know where to draw the line while sharing details or there is high chance that your great content will be copied.

An Internet Entrepreneur must have sufficient knowledge. He must know his area of expertise and must focus on that. One must not try to fool their visitors by writing about things they don’t know or about things they are not confident about.

Any person aspiring to be a web entrepreneur must follow good human relation. This would increase one’s standing and would also lead to word of mouth exposure. Try to contribute in forums and assist others.

However, it seems that he had misread both markets thinking what is applicable in Las Vegas is applicable in Macau.

However, reality struck – both aren’t just the same. They are far from same. While Las Vegas has turned out to become a money machine by filling the venue with gamblers, as well as good hotel occupancy rate, good number of vacationers, and dozens of bars and restaurants are full, the Venetian Macau is the exact opposite.

Situated in a 1,800 seat theater, problem is most of these attractions are half empty even as tables and machines are crowded with players smoking, drinking and shoving chips. In short, Adelson is incapable of recreating all of his successes in Las Vegas that made investors worry so much most especially that he has doubled his gambling palace in Singapore with even more casinos in Macau.

Shares in Sands China also fell. But for him, there must be no turning back. Since it is already there, he just cannot afford to play to lose. As such, he will soon resume construction on casinos and hotels that were temporarily ceased last year. Although a payoff of $2.2 billion earmarked for these projects may take several years, he is rushing to complete Singapore by 2010.

Maybe it is all because of the culture. As statistic would say, non gambling revenues only account for just 14% of Sands China’s Sales. Because Chinese seems more inclined to leave their families at home depriving the mall and hotel of customers unlike Westerners where they tend to bring their whole family for vacation.

But whatever it is, Adelson must put into practice the realization that Asian and Western has two different cultures with different beliefs and way of life.

Well, you might be thinking that McDonald’s is recession proof – it is affordable, fast, and has good variety of food offering. But the truth of the matter is, it is not. This year, sales for the fast-food giant are flat in 2009 during one of the most dramatic stock rallies in history. While they continue to expand overseas, sales in the United States have dipped to 0.1 percent in October and they are likely to stay weak the rest of the year.

The underlying problem has been attributed to the rise of unemployment in the country for men aged 18 to 40, which has slowed the customer traffic since then. Accordingly, one research said that visits to fast food restaurants significantly declined to about 3% over the summer – the worst performance in decades. Nowadays, people now prefer to stay home for meals, as they don’t have to spend for more.

Another problem to which the problem has been attributed to is the soaring and increasing price in the fast-food chain. The soaring costs of many of its ingredients make fast-food chains no longer an attractive place to visit.

As a solution, McDonald’s plans to add a dollar breakfast meal add-on in its many food varieties in January. They hope that adding a low-priced menu will help boast sales for the company’s premium coffee offerings including some cheaper drinks and smoothies. The dollar coffee offerings is dubbed as McCafe, which has never become a game-changer the company anticipated it to be.

Many people argue on McDonald’s effort as they believe a better promotional campaign that would increase sales. For one, erasing the notion what their competitor, Wendy’s has said that they used frozen burger patties. But spokesperson declined to comment.

With the number of jobless continually rising in the following years, it has been a very remarkable run for the company. But again, their mission will not be accomplished unless they turn around United States Sales.

The first thing you need to do is get in feel with an advocate, suggests Ed Teixeira, founder and previous leader of conferring firm FranchiseKnowHow.com and scribe of Franchising from the Inside Out.

“Gather all the data you can, encompassing the franchise affirmation, all e-mails and correspondences associated to the franchisor – and don’t take any precipitous activity without counsel,” he says.

You need an advocate for two reasons. First, if the franchisor is not attaching with an affirmation, it will take a expert to help recoup your deficiency, encompassing the franchise fee. Also, an advocate will direct you through the method of putting up your own signal as an unaligned enterprise – if it’s even possible.

Franchise advocate Robin Day Glenn of Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., remarks that you need to realise the dissimilarities between franchise regulation in your state of Iowa and the franchisor’s state of Georgia.

“Ask a solicitor in your dwelling village to find out which franchise regulation concerns here,” she says. “Typically, franchise affirmations state that regulations will be in the franchisor’s state. However, numerous states have regulations to defend their own people.”

Iowa franchise regulation may or may not allocate you the home-court advantage. Once you work out the state in which you will advance, you should find a solicitor in that state to pursue through. The solicitor will suggest you to either intimidate activity in try to get your cash back, or pursue a conciliatory path by inquiring the franchisor if you can annul the affirmation and part ways with mutual issue of claims.

Teixeira boosts finding a focused franchise lawyer. Pro-franchisee associations for example the American Association of Franchisees and Dealers can help you find one.

But Glenn remarks that if there isn’t a franchise solicitor in the state where you’ll be challenging the agreement, it’s best to proceed with a general enterprise solicitor – it is preferable to charter an advocate who is well renowned with the regulations of the jurisdiction than an out-of-state focused lawyer. She suggests Lawyers.com as a location to search out the advocate that is best for you.

Last year, they found out their rating has been faltering so they decided to find more ways on how to reach out to the young audiences. Yes, because the most coveted market these days are the “BOYS”, which comprise nearly 30 million ages 5 to 19 in the United States population.

Boys are one-of-a-kind consumers who spend billions each year on toys, food, apparels, video games and gadgets. So as Cartoon Network’s strategy to reach this dominant-gender market, they add more live action shows. In mid-August this year, it premiered two shows – Bobb’e Says, a show about a kid going around telling people what not to do, and Dude, What Would Happen, about three teens conducting science experiments.

Moreover, they had three shows coming that are boy-centric, which have been greeted positively with its stable advertisers including Lego, who created a promotional campaign awarding tie-in toys for George Lucas’ Star Wars: The Clone Wars program.

Another indication of the potential boys market is the acquisition of Walt Disney of Marvel Entertainment. The cost was estimated to be about $4 billion dollars.

In the case of News Corporation’s FUELTV, an action sports channel for ages 13-24 years old, it has attracted major advertisers such as Mountain Dew, Red Bull and Electronic Arts. The potential of the boys market is truly an emerging one. More and more businesses are tapping it.

Although many would still believe that boys are harder to get than girls probably because of the shopaholic nature of girls. But when it comes to boy-centric business, it would probably be something that softens a boy’s heart, just like a father softens her heart for her daughter.

With these new profound strategies, companies are looking forward that business and ratings would eventually recover.
