As a professional, you have to take deliberate steps to continually consider REALLY improving one’s self. You have to consider the questions listed below for you to really acquire the twenty years of experience:
- What new skills, learning, capabilities, knowledge, and accomplishment have I demonstrated in the past years?
- What are the new opportunities that came to your professional career from the new experience and knowledge that you have gained?
- What are the things that need to be done to increase the likelihood I’ll be developing additional valuable skills?
By asking the questions, if you happen to have great and positive answers for each, then you must have truly gained a true EXPERIENCE. Remember, that you owe it to yourself to take deliberate steps to rectify before you fall trap in a professional career that just multiplies your same experience over and over again.

Well, to be able to accomplish your objective in gaining new life-long learning and knowledge, you have to work to redesign your job either formally or informally. Working to redesign job simply means that you need to have a specific strategy in accomplishing your goals. Strategize based on the external and internal factors affecting it.
